March Programme Out, Invitation to Annual General Meeting

The following letter accompanied the March programme:
Dear SHTCC Member/s,
Please find enclosed our latest programme. This letter however, is to invite you to attend the club’s Annual General meeting at the upstairs hall of the Methodist Hall, Kingsbridge on Tuesday, 12th March. Coffee or tea will be available from 10.15am and the meeting will start at 10.30. It is anticipated that the meeting will be over by noon and that the formal part of the meeting will be dispensed with quickly, allowing us time to chat about the future of the club and any new ideas that members might have. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible then.
1. Apologies for absence
2. Minutes of last AGM
3. Chairman’s report
4. Treasurer’s report
5. Acceptance of the Independently Examined 2018 accounts
6. Appointment of Independent Examiner for 2019
7. Nominations for the 2019 committee. As specified in the Club's Constitution, all present officers of the club will stand down at the AGM. We would very much like to see some new faces on the committee – the role need not be defined – please let me know. In particular we are looking for a club secretary to take minutes at the three or so meetings the committee holds a year.
8. Any Other Business (please let any committee member know in writing of any business they wish to be included)
If you are unable to attend the meeting and still wish to vote a proxy form is enclosed for your use but we would prefer it if you spare an hour or so’s time to be there in person.
The minutes of last year’s AGM and the accounts for 2018 can be viewed on the club web site ( where you can download any of these documents. Copies will also be available at the AGM or if you would like copies before the meeting phone me on 01548 852916 or better still e-mail me ( and I will get them to you.
One final word – thank you to all those who have paid their 2019 subscriptions (£10 per address). If you have forgotten or have paid less than £10 please send me a cheque made out to SHTCC.
Many thanks
Nick Alen
